"Hard water 'can cut heart risk'
DRINKING hard water may protect against heart disease, say
researchers.
The Finnish scientists found that, for every one
unit increase in water hardness, there was a one percent drop
in the risk of having a heart attack.
In the UK, hard water is found in the South and
East, where the principle rock is limestone. Soft water is
found in Scotland, the North and West, where the rock is Millstone
grit - heart disease rates are higher." |
